Palato is a food discovery app for finding restaurants and recipes in one place — built around real taste, real people, and better recommendations than endless scrolling.
What is the First Tribe?
The First Tribe is our early-access community. Join before public launch to get an exclusive download link and help shape the app with your feedback.
You can join from the homepage or by tapping Join the First Tribe.
When will I get the app?
Once you complete First Tribe signup, we’ll email your exclusive download link when it’s ready. Keep an eye on the inbox (and spam folder) for the address you used when you signed up.
Is Palato free?
Palato is free to explore for foodies. Some future features may be optional or premium — we’ll always be clear about what’s free before you sign up or download.
Can I discover both restaurants and recipes?
Do I need an account to browse?
You can explore restaurants and recipes on the web without an account. Downloading the app and unlocking First Tribe early access requires completing the short signup questionnaire.
Who should I choose for “who sent you this link”?
Pick the person who invited you into the First Tribe. If they aren’t listed, choose “Someone else” and enter their name.
Is this for restaurants or businesses?
This FAQ is for foodies and First Tribe members. If you run a restaurant or want to get listed, switch to the business site from the homepage toggle or visit For business.
